Pokemon Go Sustainability Week Event: Research Tasks and Rewards

In celebration of Earth Day, Niantic has launched the Sustainability Week event in Pokemon Go! From April 20 to April 25, trainers worldwide can take part in this event to learn about and contribute to the preservation of our planet.

Daily Research Tasks

During the Sustainability Week event, trainers can complete daily research tasks to earn exciting rewards. By simply spinning a PokeStop, trainers will receive a Field Research task related to sustainability. When completed, trainers will be rewarded with encounters with various Pokemon, including Ferroseed, Drilbur, Trubbish, and Binacle. Additionally, trainers have a chance to encounter a shiny Trubbish or Binacle!

Event-Exclusive Field Research Tasks

In addition to the daily research tasks, trainers will also have access to event-exclusive field research tasks. These special tasks will offer trainers an opportunity to learn more about sustainability while engaging in Pokemon Go gameplay. Completing these tasks will reward trainers with valuable in-game items and encounters with Pokemon like Cottonee and Chespin.

Increased Spawns and Lure Module Effectiveness

Throughout the Sustainability Week event, trainers will notice an increase in Pokemon spawns that reflect the theme of sustainability. More Pokemon like Grimer, Drilbur, Trubbish, and Ferroseed will appear in the wild. Moreover, activated Lure Modules will last for an extended period of three hours, providing trainers with even more opportunities to encounter rare Pokemon.
