How to Obtain a Free King’s Rock in Pokémon Sword and Shield

How to Get a Free King’s Rock in Pokemon Sword and Shield

In the world of Pokémon Sword and Shield, there are many valuable items that can help you along your journey. One such item is the King’s Rock, a special evolutionary item that can be used to evolve certain Pokémon. In this guide, we’ll show you how to obtain a King’s Rock for free in the game.

To get a free King’s Rock, you’ll need to visit an NPC called Cramorant Man. He can be found in the town of Circhester, specifically in one of the houses near the Pokémon Center. Look for the house with a sign that says “Cram-o-matic” on it.

Once you’ve found Cramorant Man, talk to him and he’ll introduce you to the Cram-o-matic. This machine can convert four items into a completely different item. To get a King’s Rock, you’ll need to use the following combination of items:

  • Sachet: This can be obtained by catching a Spritzee, a Fairy-type Pokémon found in the wild.
  • Whipped Dream: You can find this item by catching a Swirlix, another Fairy-type Pokémon in the Galar region.
  • Chipped Pot: This is an item that can be found randomly while exploring the Isle of Armor DLC expansion.
  • Cracked Pot: Similar to the Chipped Pot, this item can also be found randomly on the Isle of Armor.

Once you have all of these items, approach the Cram-o-matic and interact with it. Choose the option to “Make something new” and place the Sachet, Whipped Dream, Chipped Pot, and Cracked Pot into the machine. After a few seconds, the machine will spit out a King’s Rock for you to use.

It’s worth noting that the Cram-o-matic has a random chance to give you different items depending on what you put in. So if you want to get a King’s Rock, simply try again if you don’t succeed the first time.

Once you have your King’s Rock, you can use it to evolve certain Pokémon. Examples of Pokémon that require a King’s Rock to evolve include Slowpoke into Slowking and Poliwhirl into Politoed.

That’s all there is to it! Follow this guide and you’ll be able to obtain a free King’s Rock in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Good luck on your journey!
