All New Gigantamax Forms Confirmed for Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass

The Pokémon Company International has recently announced the addition of several new Gigantamax forms in the upcoming Pokémon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass. These new forms will be available for players to obtain and utilize in battles.

Gigantamax forms are special transformations that certain Pokémon can undergo, making them significantly larger and more powerful. In addition to their increased size, Gigantamax Pokémon also receive unique G-Max Moves, which can deal massive amounts of damage or cause special effects.

One of the new Gigantamax forms introduced is Gigantamax Venusaur. This massive Pokémon gains a towering and flowering tree-like appearance. It will unleash G-Max Vine Lash, which not only deals damage to the opponent but also reduces the opponent’s HP for several turns.

The second new Gigantamax form is Gigantamax Blastoise. This colossal Pokémon transforms into a massive water cannon, with water constantly spraying out of its shell. Its G-Max Cannonade move can deal a large amount of damage to the opponent and even cause the opponent to become unable to use the same move consecutively.

The third Gigantamax form is the fan-favorite Pokémon, Rillaboom. This massive creature turns into a gigantic drum set, creating earth-shaking beats. Its G-Max Drum Solo move can not only deal damage but also cause non-damaging music-based moves used by the Gigantamax Rillaboom to confuse the opponent.

Lastly, players can look forward to the Gigantamax Cinderace form. This Pokémon becomes a blazing fireball with a flaming soccer ball at its feet. Its G-Max Fireball move not only deals damage but also creates a wall of fire that persists on the opponent’s side of the field for four turns.

These new Gigantamax forms will be available in Pokémon Sword and Shield’s Expansion Pass, which includes The Isle of Armor and The Crown Tundra. The Isle of Armor, the first part of the Expansion Pass, was released on June 17, 2020, and The Crown Tundra is slated to be released in Fall 2020.

Players can obtain these Gigantamax forms by challenging special Max Raid Battles in the Wild Area. By teaming up with other players or utilizing AI trainers, players will have the opportunity to catch and add these powerful Gigantamax Pokémon to their team.

With the addition of these new Gigantamax forms, Pokémon Sword and Shield players will have even more strategic options and powerful Pokémon at their disposal in battles.
