Valve hints at forthcoming details for The International 2019

Valve to Reveal Information about The International 2019 and TI9 Battlepass Tomorrow

Valve is gearing up to disclose details about The International 2019 and the TI9 Battlepass tomorrow. The highly anticipated Dota 2 event is set to take place in Shanghai, China from August 16 to 25. However, information about TI9 has been sparse so far.

This announcement comes at an opportune time as Valve is currently hosting the MDL Disneyland Paris Major, featuring some of the world’s best teams who will also be competing at TI9. With people already talking about Dota, any announcements made by Valve can easily be shared through the same channels as the ongoing matches and highlights.

So, what can we expect from tomorrow’s announcement?

Valve is likely to reveal the tournament format and the breakdown of the prize pool. Currently, we only know that 18 teams will be participating in the main event, but no details about the bracket or rules have been unveiled yet.

Additionally, Valve is expected to confirm new in-game items, modes, skins, and more. Just like last year, there will likely be different levels of the Battlepass available for individual purchase, with a portion of the sales contributing directly to the TI9 prize pool.

Valve has stated that more information will be shared on May 7, most likely after the conclusion of the MDL Disneyland matches on Tuesday. Stay tuned for updates!
