League of Legends Teams Secure Spots in Worlds 2019 Play-In Knockout Stage

The knockout stage of Worlds 2019 play-in is heating up as the first four teams advance from Groups A and B. After intense competition and thrilling tiebreakers, the top teams have claimed their spots.

Clutch Gaming, representing NA, has emerged as the No.1 seed from Group A, adding to the excitement for North American fans. This group has been fiercely contested, with all teams finishing with a 2-2 record. Clutch Gaming secured the fastest game time and secured a direct path to the knockout stage.

The LCL’s Unicorns of Love faced off against the OPL’s MAMMOTH in a tiebreaker, where the CIS team dominated their opponents in just 28 minutes. Despite their valiant effort, the Australian representatives managed only one kill in the game.

In Group B, Splyce demonstrated their strength, except for a match against Detonation FocusMe. Their clashes with Isurus Gaming, who is also advancing to the knockout stage, have shown that they are one of the strongest teams in the play-in stage, alongside DAMWON Gaming.

While there are clear favorites, all four teams have the potential to progress to the next round. The Unicorns have displayed an intimidating performance in some games, while Isurus should not be underestimated. Now, we await the four other teams from Groups C and D before heading to the final stage prior to the main event.
