G2 HEL Reveals New All-Female League of Legends Team

G2 Esports Introduces New All-Female League of Legends Team

G2 Esports has unveiled its new all-female League of Legends team called HEL. This team, named after the Norse goddess of death, aims to promote and encourage female representation in esports, following the success of G2’s previous all-female VALORANT team, Gozen, which was established in 2021.

The Roster

HEL is composed of some of the most prominent female esports talents in the League industry. The team includes Olivia “Olizia” Nnenna Calistus, Agnė “Karina” Ivaškevičiūtė, Alena “TIFA” Maurer, Ève “Colomblbl” Monvoisin, and Maya “Caltys” Henckel.

Paving the Way for Equality

Commenting on the establishment of G2 HEL, Caltys expressed her hopes that it would create more opportunities for women in esports and inspire young girls to compete professionally. The highest-ranked female League player in EUW also emphasized that G2’s decision to invest in an all-female roster shows the world that women can play the game at a high competitive level.

TIFA shared her excitement about joining G2 and described the creation of the HEL team as a significant milestone in breaking stereotypes and opening doors for female gamers. She believes this team will empower the next generation of female gamers to pursue their dreams without limitations.

The Future of G2 HEL

Although G2 has not announced which circuit the HEL team will participate in, the organization hopes that their decision will prompt the League’s publisher, Riot Games, and tournament organizers to establish an official competitive scene for female players. G2 aims to be at the forefront of this movement and dominate the future competitive female scene, as they have already done with Gozen in the VALORANT scene in Europe.
