Renekton and Lillia Receive Significant Nerfs in Upcoming League of Legends Patch 11.6 Preview

Upcoming Nerfs to Renekton and Lillia in League of Legends Patch 11.6

The gameplay design director of League of Legends, Mark “Scruffy” Yetter, provided detailed information today about the upcoming nerfs to several champions in Patch 11.6.

In this next patch, Renekton and Lillia will be the hardest-hit champions, receiving significant nerfs to their ultimate abilities.

Renekton’s late-game power will be substantially reduced. The bonus health he receives when casting Dominus (R) will be lowered from 750 to 550 at max rank. This change aims to make Renekton less intimidating in the later stages of the game.

Lillia players can expect an increase in the cooldown of Lilting Lullaby (R) as the game progresses. At level six, the cooldown of her ultimate will be increased from 130 seconds to 150. At max rank, the ability’s cooldown will be increased from 90 seconds to 110. This adjustment aims to reduce Lillia’s impact in teamfights throughout the game.

Both Renekton and Lillia have been prominent picks in professional play this season. Renekton has a pick/ban rate of 68 percent, making him the third most contested top lane champion across all pro regions. Lillia’s presence rate of 59 percent ranks her as the 10th highest in the League roster, according to stats site gol.gg.

So far in 2021, Renekton has been the most contested top lane champion in professional play, while Lillia ranks just below Olaf with a pick/ban rate of 74 percent in the jungle.

Patch 11.6 is scheduled to go live on Wednesday, March 17, according to the official 2021 patch schedule on the League of Legends website.
