Why Rekkles Considers Caps as “Slightly More Frightening” than Perkz in the Bottom Lane

G2 Esports is making changes to its League of Legends roster for the 2020 LEC Summer Split. Caps is switching back to the mid lane, while Perkz will be returning to the AD carry position. According to rival ADC Rekkles, Caps might be the scarier player going into the summer split.

Rekkles mentioned that Caps and Perkz are different players, making it difficult to determine who is the better option. It will depend on the meta and their performance on the day. However, Rekkles admitted that he believes Caps is currently the better player compared to Perkz.

Rekkles also acknowledged that the mid lane is currently a stronger role than ADC. Having Caps back in his natural role could benefit G2 as a team. However, he also emphasized that Perkz is still a formidable opponent in the bottom lane.

In the previous split, pundits agreed that G2 was a weaker team due to the positional switch at the beginning of the year. Caps didn’t seem as comfortable in the bottom lane, and the team didn’t perform as smoothly as before. Caps also had a high number of deaths, both in the regular season and playoffs.

Perkz revealed that the role swap was Caps’ idea. However, it seems that returning to his original role as mid laner will be the better option for the team’s success.

The 2020 LEC Summer Split is set to begin on June 12.
