SK Telecom T1 easily defeated the Gigabyte Marines for their second win at the 2017 Mid Season Invitational.
Refusing to give up, GAM came into the match against SKT prepared for a fight. GAM’s jungler, Đỗ “Levi” Duy Khánh, made a surprise attack on Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon to secure first blood. In response, SKT’s jungler, Han “Peanut” Wang-ho, went to the mid lane and got a kill for himself.
From that point on, the game was filled with constant fighting. Both junglers continually ganked for all three lanes, and the top lane was particularly chaotic.
In typical SKT fashion, Peanut’s teamfighting skills helped SKT gain an advantage over GAM. This led to more kills and objectives for SKT.
Once SKT secured an early 20-minute Baron, the game essentially ended. SKT rushed into GAM’s base and quickly took down their defenses, destroying the inhibitor turrets and eventually the nexus.
SKT will aim to maintain their undefeated record as they face TSM and Team WE tomorrow (May 11) at MSI.
