Unlock Fortnite’s Exclusive Ruin Skin
Fortnite players with the season eight premium Battle Pass can now unlock the exclusive Ruin skin. All you need to do is complete 55 weekly challenges before May 8th. After this date, the skin will no longer be available to unlock.
To fully maximize the cosmetic potential of Ruin, dedicated players will need to complete a set of six challenges. These challenges will reward players with the Dying Light back bling and the Dread pickaxe. The first back bling is awarded after completing three challenges, and the second pickaxe is awarded after finishing all six challenges.
It’s important to note that players who do not own Ruin cannot access the Ruin Challenges.
If you haven’t unlocked Ruin yet but still want to check out the challenges, we’ve listed them below. Additionally, we have included some tips on how to quickly complete them.
Ruin Challenges
- Destroy trees (50)
- Destroy rocks (35)
- Destroy cars, trucks or RVs (20)
- Deal damage to opponent structures (10,000)
- Outlast opponents (1,000)
- Complete Daily Challenges (5)
Rewards
- Dying Light back bling (after completing three challenges)
- Dread pickaxe (after completing six challenges)
Tips and tricks
For challenges that require you to “destroy” something, such as trees, rocks, and vehicles, it’s not necessary to harvest them. You can shoot them down with your guns, explode them with grenades and rockets, or run them down with a vehicle to progress through the challenges. Using a vehicle like the Quadcrasher in the jungle biome can help you quickly complete the trees challenge.
Dealing damage to opponent structures is much easier if you have an explosive weapon. Launching grenades at your opponents or using rocket launchers to explode structures left behind by your opponents will count towards this challenge.
Once you have completed these challenges, the full Ruin set will be available in your Locker.
