Fer to Undergo Surgery, Forgoes Playtime in August

SK Gaming’s Fernando “fer” Alvarenga to Miss Competitions Due to Medical Operations

The renowned esports team SK Gaming will be without their entry-fragger Fernando “fer” Alvarenga in August. Fer is scheduled to undergo two surgeries related to medical complications in his nose and right ear.

These health issues have been affecting his in-game performance and overall quality of life. As a result, Fer will not be able to travel or compete with SK Gaming throughout August and most of September. During this period, former Immortals rifler Gustavo “SHOOWTiME” Gonçalves will be stepping in for the team.

Causes and Effects of Fer’s Ailments

Fer’s health problems stem from breaking his nose at a young age, which has limited his breathing to one nostril. Additionally, a perforated eardrum has significantly impacted his hearing for the past year.

However, Fer has assured that his hearing will be restored after the operation. He plans to rejoin the team in September, just in time for ESL One New York in October.
