More unexpected knockouts in CS:GO, this time at Starseries

Upsets at Starladder Starseries Offline Finals as Top Teams Exit Early

In a surprising turn of events, three of the world’s best esports teams were eliminated early at the Starladder Starseries offline finals in Kiev.

Godsent, who recently acquired three top players from Fnatic, struggled to adapt to their new lineup. Despite starting with a victory over Team Dignitas, they suffered a loss to Ninjas in Pyjamas, leading to a rematch with Dignitas. Unfortunately, Godsent was defeated 2-0 by Dignitas, eliminating them from the tournament. Emil “Magiskb0y” Reif stood out with an exceptional performance for Dignitas.

FaZe Clan also faced disappointment in the group stage, losing to Flipsid3. Flipsid3, who had been struggling in recent matches, managed to secure a surprising victory over FaZe. Joakim “Jkaem” Myrbostad put up an impressive performance for FaZe, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win.

TyLoo, the Chinese team, caused an upset by defeating Na’Vi in the opening group game. However, their journey ended when they faced Astralis in the survival match. Astralis emerged victorious after one overtime, knocking Na’Vi out of the tournament. Oleksandr “S1mple” Kostylev’s performance for Na’Vi was underwhelming and could have made a difference with a slightly better showing.

Roster Changes and Hopes for the Future

All three teams have recently made roster changes, which may have affected their performance in this tournament. Godsent brought in three new players, while FaZe and Na’Vi each added one new member. While a disappointing showing at one event may not have major consequences, these teams will be looking to bounce back in the near future.
