Players recently made a fascinating discovery in Wailing Woods. There are reports of ashes seeping out from the ground, accompanied by peculiar smoke and small particles. It seems that something is burning beneath the surface.

Additionally, one player stumbled upon the Wailing trees appearing dead, devoid of leaves but still surrounded by grass. The cause of this phenomenon remains unknown, with some speculating it could be a rare bug unique to that player’s game.

This isn’t the first time peculiar events have occurred in Wailing Woods during season seven. Previously, cracks started appearing in the area due to frequent earthquakes on the island. Many of these cracks are still in close proximity to Wailing Woods. Subsequently, the terrain itself began to change color, resembling burnt ground.

Considering the recent emergence of ashes from the ground and the season eight teasers hinting at fire, the possibility of a volcano in season eight is gaining traction. The third season eight teaser included a riddle mentioning a “beast of fire and ash,” suggesting Wailing Woods may hold some significance in this regard.

Tomorrow, after the release of the v8.00 patch, we will finally have answers regarding the future of Wailing Woods.
