How to Tune In to the $500,000 Secret Skirmish Fortnite Competition

The Latest Fortnite: Battle Royale Esports Event is Now Underway

Epic Games announced the start of the Secret Skirmish event on Jan. 18. This two-day tournament will take place on Feb. 14 to 15, featuring a prize pool of $500,000 and the top players from previous Fortnite competitions.

Here’s what you should know about the Secret Skirmish event:

Schedule

The Secret Skirmish will span two days. On Feb. 14, the $100,000 Duos tournament will take place. The $400,000 Solo event will begin on Feb. 15. Both days’ action starts at 3pm CT.

Format

In the Duos tournament, players will compete in six matches. They will earn points for kills, high placings, and Victory Royales.

Points breakdown for the Duos tournament:

  • Victory Royale: 3 points
  • Second and third place: 2 points
  • Fourth and fifth place: 1 point
  • Eight or more kills: 3 points
  • Six or seven kills: 2 points
  • Four or five kills: 1 point
  • Generous bonus: After 8 kills, each elimination awards an extra point.

The Solo tournament on Feb. 15 will also consist of six matches. Points will be awarded as follows:

  • Victory Royale: 3 points
  • Second and third place: 2 points
  • Fourth through 10th place: 1 point
  • Seven or more kills: 3 points
  • Five or six kills: 2 points
  • Three or four kills: 1 point
  • Generous bonus: After 7 kills, each elimination awards an extra point.

Ten Duos teams and 20 Solo players will receive prizes. You can find the full list of competitors on Epic’s website.
