Fortnite players drawn to Apex Legends by the powerful Hand Cannon

Fortnite Pros Turning to Apex Legends Due to Hand Cannon Issues

Respawn Entertainment’s newly released battle royale game, Apex Legends, is drawing the attention of many players, including several popular Fortnite players. However, the appeal of Apex Legends extends beyond just being a new game – some players are avoiding or refusing to play Fortnite due to issues with the Hand Cannon. Prominent players like Noah “Vivid” Wright, Sam “WishYouLuckk” Salcedo, and even Jimmy “HighDistortion” Moreno, the first player to reach 100,000 kills in Fortnite, have expressed their disapproval of the Hand Cannon and are actively seeking an alternative.

These players have publicly voiced their dislike for the Hand Cannon, with HighDistortion even declaring on Twitter that he won’t play Fortnite until the weapon is vaulted. As an alternative, Apex Legends has quickly gained traction in the battle royale scene, reaching one million registered players in just eight hours. This success surpasses Fortnite’s achievement in 2017, indicating the swift adoption of Respawn’s latest creation.

WishYouLuckk, a professional Fortnite player for CLG, advised other players to explore different video games until the next major tournament, expressing his dissatisfaction with the Hand Cannon and the X-4 Stormwing plane. While many Twitter users supported these players’ opinions, some urged them to stop complaining and simply play the game.

Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, may choose to ignore these players’ tweets, but it’s clear that a portion of the player base is unhappy with the dominance of the Hand Cannon. This presents an opportunity for Respawn to capture the interest of these dissatisfied players and convert them into regular Apex Legends enthusiasts.
