Epic Games Announces Secret Skirmish Fortnite Event
Epic Games has announced that it will kick off 2019 with another major Fortnite: Battle Royale LAN event next month. The Secret Skirmish event will take place on February 14-15 and will feature a $500,000 prize pool. The tournament will invite the top players from each Open Fortnite competition held so far.
The tournament location is yet to be disclosed, as Epic has only revealed that it will be held at a classified, undisclosed testing facility. The event promises high-powered matches similar to TwitchCon and PAX, with additional operations being explored during the competition.
The Secret Skirmish event is not only a standalone tournament, but also serves as a preparation ground for the Fortnite World Cup scheduled for later in 2019. Epic’s blog post hints that more details about both events will be revealed soon.
