Thorin’s CS:GO Global Rankings – October 31st, 2016

CS:GO World Rankings: October 2016

Rankings in the world of CS:GO have always been difficult to determine, with so many teams competing in different events. Instead of using a complex point system, I decided to analyze the recent performance of each team and create my own top 10 list.

When assessing the rankings, I only consider offline results. I look at a team’s performance over a period of approximately three months, giving more weight to recent tournament results. Factors such as finishes, consistency, current form, and strength of opponents are taken into consideration.

Since the last rankings update, several events have taken place including WESG EU, EPICENTER, ELEAGUE Group A, the Asian Minor, and ESL ProLeague S4 Finals.

Virtus.pro (Snax, byali, pasha, NEO and TaZ)

Virtus.pro continues to perform at an elite level, reaching the finals of the last two major tournaments. They have managed to win against tough opponents, including SK Gaming. Although they face threats from teams like Dignitas and Na`Vi, Virtus.pro’s consistency secures them the top spot for now.

Team Dignitas (RUBINO, k0nfig, cajunb, Magiskb0Y and MSL)

Dignitas has been consistent in their performances and recently secured their first big title at EPICENTER. Their strong finishes in multiple tournaments prove their potential to challenge Virtus.pro for the top spot in the future.

Na`Vi (GuardiaN, Edward, Seized, flamie and s1mple)

Na`Vi followed their win in New York with a solid top four finish at EPICENTER. Although they have only played in two major offline events, their victories against top-ranked opponents demonstrate their potential for success.

SK Gaming (coldzera, FalleN, fer, fnx and TACO)

SK Gaming has consistently placed in the top four in recent tournaments, but they have failed to secure a victory. Despite this, their strong performances against top teams like VP and G2 show that they are still an elite team.

Cloud9 (Skadoodle, Shroud, n0thing, Stewie2k and autimatic)

Cloud9’s victory at ESL ProLeague saw them break NA’s 10-year drought without a win in a major international CS:GO competition. Their performance in the group stage and dominant win against SK in the final solidified their position in the top five.

These are just a few highlights from the top 10 CS:GO rankings for October 2016. Teams like Ninjas in Pyjamas, Team Liquid, G2, EnVyUs, and mousesports also showcased impressive performances.
