CS:GO ESEA Finals Season 17 Round 1: Predictions

iBuyPower vs. Virtus Pro: A One-Sided Match?

The upcoming game between iBuyPower and Virtus Pro seems to be a clear victory for Virtus Pro. iBP’s new roster has not shown much promise, while VP has been performing well recently. Although some people claim that VP chokes under good odds, this is mostly true for online games. On the other hand, iBP’s roster has been lackluster. Additionally, iBP will have adreN as a substitute player, as desi has already played for three different rosters this ESEA season. While adreN is an awesome player and has impressive awping skills, he will be rifling for iBP. This means that swag will likely get the awp, eliminating the potential for an amazing skadoodle and adreN double awp setup. When considering the maps, dust2 might be the only one where iBP has an advantage over VP. However, since the roster has changed, it remains to be seen if they can rival fnatic and ldlc on this map. In conclusion, VP has a strong chance of beating iBP on most maps, making the odds around 80-20ish in favor of VP. The only way iBP can win is if they play exceptionally well and VP performs poorly.

Denial vs. Titan: An Easy Win for Titan?

The game between Denial and Titan is only interesting because KQLY is no longer part of the Titan lineup. However, the manager of Titan is competent, so it’s unlikely that he will drag the team down. Some members of the Denial lineup have shown better performance in online games, but it’s uncertain if shazam can carry the team. He underperformed in the CEVO tournament. It’s highly unlikely that Denial can defeat Titan. The odds are around 85-80 to 15-20 in favor of Titan.

Cloud9 vs. Mouz: NA Overcoming EU?

This is a game where the North American team, Cloud9, has a good chance of defeating the European team, Mouz. Without allu, Mouz might be at a disadvantage, as gob is not as good as allu. Additionally, ChrisJ has a reputation of performing better online. These are two factors in favor of Cloud9. However, Mouz has been in good form recently while Cloud9 has not performed well. The choice of maps could greatly influence the outcome of the game, so one should be cautious. Overall, if Cloud9 starts playing near their potential level, they should win. The odds are around 60-40 in favor of Cloud9.

Elevate vs. Fnatic: A Clear Dominance

Fnatic should have an easy victory in their match against Elevate. Fnatic is possibly the best team in the world right now, while Elevate is considered a mid-upper tier 2 team. The odds are approximately 93-7 in favor of Fnatic, but I would place them at 95-5 because Fnatic clearly outclasses Elevate.

Overall, it is recommended to bet on Virtus Pro, Titan, Cloud9, and Fnatic based on their respective matchups.
