MAGISKBOY UNABLE TO PLAY AT ECS LAN FINALS

Emil Reif, known as Magiskb0y, will not be able to compete at the LAN finals of the Esports Championship Series (ECS) due to his exams. Valdemar Vangså, also known as valde, will be replacing him.

Two days ago, Magiskb0y announced that he would not be attending ECS because of his exams. The team’s in-game leader, Mathias Lauridsen, revealed that valde will be standing in for Magiskb0y.

SCHOOL OR ESPORTS: THE TOUGH CHOICE

Many esports players have to make difficult decisions when it comes to prioritizing between school and esports. Patrick Lindberg, also known as f0rest, dropped out of school at the age of 16, while 16-year-old Russel Van Dulken, known as Twistzz, left school earlier this year to play for Team SoloMid full-time. On the other hand, players like Finn Andersen, aka karrigan, managed to obtain a Masters degree while playing at the highest level. Based on his tweets, it seems like Magiskb0y falls into the latter category, at least in terms of completing his current level of education.

Some analysts speculate that Dignitas’ loss to SK Gaming in the ELEAGUE quarterfinals was due to Magiskb0y being preoccupied with his schoolwork.
