Chris Pratt partners with Epic Games to introduce Fortnite in Korea

Epic Games Taps International Star Chris Pratt to Expand Fortnite’s Reach in Korea

Epic Games, the publisher of the popular game Fortnite, is making efforts to expand its audience in international markets. One prime target for this endeavor is Korea, known for its gaming culture and PC Bangs where players spend hours gaming. Korea is considered a mecca for serious gamers worldwide.

As part of their strategy to win over Korean fans, Epic has enlisted the help of international superstar Chris Pratt. Known for his role as the leader of Guardians of the Galaxy, Pratt seems to be the perfect choice for introducing Fortnite to Korea.

In a hilarious TV commercial, Pratt playfully mocks Korea for only now getting acquainted with the game. His face can be seen all over PC Bang screens, teasing the local audience. Pratt’s Fortnite posters are also scattered throughout the streets of Korea, highlighting his immense popularity.

If Pratt’s efforts prove successful, he may face a new challenge ahead. While Fortnite launched in China—the world’s largest video game market—earlier this year, it has yet to achieve the same level of popularity as in the West. If Epic’s Korean ad campaign proves fruitful, perhaps Star-Lord will set his sights on China next.
