The Latest Update to Mounted Turrets in Fortnite: Battle Royale
Epic Games, the game developer behind Fortnite: Battle Royale, has made some changes to the Mounted Turrets in a recent update. The adjustments have been implemented to balance the gameplay and prevent certain exploits.
Turret Health Reduced
The floor health of the Mounted Turret has been decreased from 5,000 to 1,000, while the health of the turret itself has been halved from 800 to 400.
This change was made in response to a post on Reddit that gained attention, revealing a method to create a trap with 5,000 health points. By placing a spike trap on the ceiling and putting the Mounted Turret on the same floor, players were able to make their traps almost indestructible.
Effect on Gameplay
Despite this nerf to the Mounted Turrets, their power and effectiveness remain intact. When players find themselves in advantageous positions, they can still easily dismantle enemy materials and structures. However, the forward hitboxes on the turrets still pose a problem for many players.
With this hotfix, Epic Games has effectively prevented players from exploiting the health of placed materials. This ensures a fair and balanced gameplay experience for all Fortnite enthusiasts.
