In season five, the cube made its first appearance in Fortnite. It wandered around the map, providing players with shields while also dealing damage with a bolt that sent them flying. Throughout season six, the cube has caused chaos on the Battle Royale island. After dissolving into Loot Lake, it reshaped the island into Leaky Lake and carried it to areas filled with runes using a tornado-like whirlwind. Ultimately, the cube shattered the island into fragmented pieces of land.
Connections to the Past
The upcoming event may also be linked to The Visitor’s rocket launch from season four. During this event, the rocket launched from the villain’s lair east of Snobby Shores, flew across the map, and narrowly missed hitting Tilted Towers. This event is responsible for the creation of the rifts and left players with many unanswered questions about The Visitor’s timeline.
