Final Fortnitemares challenges glitched and fail to track past tasks

Fortnite Players Struggle with Last Fortnitemares Challenge

Several Fortnite: Battle Royale players are encountering difficulties in completing the final Fortnitemares challenge, which awards them the epic glider Dark Engine.

Complaints have flooded Reddit, with players sharing that the last challenge, “Complete Fortnitemares Challenges,” only counts the challenges completed on that specific day. It fails to consider challenges completed in parts one, two, and three before this last challenge went live. As a result, if a player completes all challenges in the final part, the last challenge will only show five out of 14 challenges as completed, neglecting the other nine challenges from previous sets.

Bug Affects Multiple Platforms

This issue has been tested and confirmed on the PC platform as well. The “Complete Fortnitemare Challenges” does not take previous challenges into account.

Reports from PC and PS4 players suggest that this bug is affecting multiple platforms.

Final Reward Unattainable

Due to this bug, players are unable to obtain the final reward of the Fortnitemares event, the epic glider Dark Engine.

Epic Games Working on a Fix

Epic Games has acknowledged the issue on Twitter and stated that they are actively working on a fix. They have also acknowledged another bug where players must destroy the Cube Fragment to receive credit for the “Damage Cube Fragments” challenge.

This is not the first time Fortnite players have been surprised by Fortnitemare challenges. In a previous incident, players who completed the third set of challenges unexpectedly received up to 350 Battle Stars. Although this was initially considered a bug, Epic Games allowed players to keep their earned rewards.
