Someone successfully passed through a tunnel of 132 damage traps in Fortnite

Mastering Damage Traps in Fortnite: A Reddit User’s Impressive Feat

Fortnite’s damage traps can catch players off guard and deal significant damage. However, one Reddit user, S2JT, has shown exceptional skills in maneuvering around these traps without taking any damage. In a video showcased on Reddit, S2JT successfully navigated through a tunnel consisting of 132 damage traps in Fortnite’s free play mode Playground.

In the video, S2JT demonstrates the same movement multiple times within the tunnel. By strategically stepping on the edge of a floor trap, he activates all four traps in that area simultaneously. He then swiftly turns around and moves back slightly to avoid the activated traps while safely progressing towards a new set of traps. There are instances where he fails to activate a floor trap, but he quickly repeats the movement on the same tile to activate it.

The key to S2JT’s success lies in his precise timing to activate and avoid the traps. Furthermore, he must carefully manage his timing to prevent reactivating the previous trap. In Fortnite: Battle Royale, damage traps can be activated indefinitely, but only after a player has left the trap’s area for the five-second reload time. Therefore, when crossing an already activated trap, S2JT must ensure accuracy in stepping on the next trap to avoid lingering on the current one for too long.

The impressive feat accomplished by S2JT is unfortunately exclusive to Fortnite’s Playground mode. It is highly unlikely for 132 traps to spawn in a regular match, and it is even more improbable for a player to carry all of them. However, this serves as an excellent way to enhance one’s reaction time to traps in a controlled environment. Of course, it’s still easier to avoid a trap by simply exploding it.
