Is s1mple Overrated? Na`Vi Proves Otherwise

When Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev made his move from Team Liquid to Natus Vincere, there were skeptics who claimed that the hype and high expectations surrounding him were undeserved. However, s1mple’s consistent god-like plays and the success of Team Liquid in recent tournaments fueled the hype even more. When s1mple joined Na`Vi, one of the best teams in the world, the anticipation reached its peak.

Na`Vi’s offline debut with s1mple at the StarLadder i-League Season 2 Finals was a disappointment for the team and fans. They were eliminated from the tournament, raising doubts about s1mple’s abilities. Critics questioned whether s1mple deserved the immense expectations placed on him. However, Na`Vi and s1mple would soon silence the skeptics.

ESL One New York was a crucial tournament for Na`Vi to prove themselves. Despite doubts about their capability to challenge top-tier teams, Na`Vi emerged as the champion, with s1mple playing a decisive role. It was a turning point for the team, and s1mple’s performance won over many doubters.

EPICENTER was another test for Na`Vi to show that their victory in New York was not a fluke. He finished the semifinal series with the most kills and consistently delivered MVP performances throughout the tournament.
