The group stage of ESL One Katowice came to an end with no major surprises as the top teams maintained their positions heading into the playoffs.

Team Secret Dominates Group A

In Group A, Team Secret asserted their dominance by distancing themselves from Gambit Esports and securing the top seed.

OG and Mineski Sweep Group A

OG put on a dominant performance against For The Dream, sweeping them in both matches and securing their place in the playoffs. Meanwhile, Mineski took care of business against Forward Gaming and knocked them out of the tournament with a convincing sweep.

Fnatic Claims Second Seed in Group B

Group B saw Fnatic splitting a series against Ninjas in Pyjamas, earning them the second-best overall record and ensuring their spot in the upper bracket of the playoffs.

Team Aster Survives Elimination

The last series of the group stage saw Team Aster battling against compLexity for survival. With their tournament life on the line, Team Aster delivered an impressive sweep, thanks to incredible plays from Chai “Mushi” Yee Fung.

After the conclusion of the group stage, Alliance, compLexity, For The Dream, and Forward were officially eliminated from the competition, leaving the top eight teams ready to compete in the main event.
