Fortnite: Battle Royale Generates $300 Million in 200 Days on iOS Devices
Fortnite: Battle Royale has achieved an impressive revenue milestone on iOS devices, generating $300 million in just 200 days since its initial launch in the iOS store, according to statistics website SensorTower.
Since the game’s release, Fortnite players on iOS devices have been spending an average of $1.5 million per day. With the start of season six on Sept. 27, this number has increased to approximately $2.5 million per day.
Fortnite Outperforms Other Mobile Games in Revenue Generation
This tremendous achievement surpasses the revenue generated by some of the top mobile games within their first 200 days of operation. For instance, Clash Royale made slightly under $250 million during this timeframe, $50 million less than what Fortnite has accomplished.
In comparison, PUBG Mobile has only generated approximately $47 million in revenue on iOS devices, despite having been available for a similar length of time since its release on April 15.
Fortnite Trails Behind Pokémon Go in Revenue Generation
Fortnite still has a long way to go before it can claim the title of the most profitable mobile game in a short span of time. Niantic’s Pokémon Go, for example, reached the $300 million mark in just 113 days and continues to generate significant revenue.
