Epic Games is actively resolving Fortnite’s cross-platform account problems

Epic Games Introduces Solutions for Multiple Fortnite Accounts

In exciting news for Fortnite: Battle Royale players on PlayStation 4, Epic Games has announced full cross-platform play. However, this raises an issue for players with multiple accounts on different consoles.

Epic Games has provided two solutions to tackle this problem. The first solution allows players to unlink their console from their Fortnite account and re-link it to another account. According to Epic, this feature will be available in a few days. The second solution, which enables users to merge their accounts and combine their purchases, won’t be implemented until November.

Long Wait for Account Merging May Disappoint Players

Although the account-merging feature sounds promising, the wait of over a month might not be well-received. Many players have multiple accounts due to Sony’s restriction on using the same account across different platforms. Therefore, the timetable for these solutions may not be very popular.
