Recap of Day 2 of the ELEAGUE Major Qualifier

The ELEAGUE Major Qualifier: Battle for a Spot in Counter Strike’s Biggest Tournament

The ELEAGUE Major Qualifier is currently being held in Atlanta, where 16 teams are competing for a chance to secure a spot in Counter Strike’s ELEAGUE Major next month.

This second round of the Swiss style tournament features yesterday’s winners facing off against each other, as well as the first round losers. The winners from today’s matches will advance to the play-in match for the major tomorrow, while the losers will compete in different tiers of the bracket. For the teams with a 0-2 record, any loss means elimination.

Ninjas in Pyjamas faced off against HellRaisers in what turned out to be a thrilling matchup. Despite a remarkable play in overtime by NiP player F0rest, HellRaisers pulled off a big upset and won 19-17.

However, the other American team, Counter Logic Gaming, avenged their previous loss with a 19-16 overtime victory over Renegades.
