The WESG European and CIS Qualifier Results
The European and CIS regional qualifiers for the World Electronic Sports Games (WESG) Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Championship started with some big names competing. Today, teams like GODSENT, Team EnVyUs, Virtus.pro, Dignitas, and Astralis took part in the tournament.
Among the top teams, some performed better than others. Notably, Virtus.pro struggled and lost both of their matches. They were defeated by Team Russia and Team Norway, which were considered weaker opponents. On the other hand, Dignitas dominated their opening games, winning against Team iGame.com, k1ck old, and Epsilon Esports. GODSENT, one of the favorites, started with a 2-1 record, defeating Team LDLC.com Espoir and PIXEL, but suffering a questionable loss against Team Ukraine.
The first day of the competition had plenty of surprises, and the group stage conclusion tomorrow promises more exciting matches. Here are the results from the aforementioned teams:
