Fortnite Season Five Map Changes: What You Need to Know

The world of Fortnite has been turned upside down in season five, and the map reflects these changes. Old locations have been replaced with new points of interest, creating a fresh experience for players. Here are the major map changes that you should be aware of:

1. Paradise Palms

A desert biome known as Paradise Palms has taken the place of Moisty Mire in the southeast section of the map. This sprawling area features a truck stop, gas station, houses, and a race track perfect for the new karts.

2. Lazy Links

Anarchy Acres has been replaced by Lazy Links, a luxurious resort where players can enjoy various sports such as golf, basketball, and volleyball. The area is surrounded by a massive golf course.

3. Viking Village

A viking village has emerged on top of a mountain in the west section of the map. Though it is not named, it offers a unique experience with a river, a viking boat within a waterfall, and viking houses.

4. Other Changes

In addition to the major changes mentioned above, there are several other noteworthy changes on the map:

  • The soccer stadium has been replaced by an empty field with a giant Easter Island statue in the middle.
  • Multiple Easter Island statues can be found in various locations: a hill southeast of Shifty Shafts, northwest of Lucky Landing, northwest of Dusty Divot, northwest of Tomato Town, and northeast of Greasy Grove.
  • Dusty Divot has become overgrown with trees.
  • The Durrr Burger has returned and is now located on a hill east of Pleasant Park.
  • The NOMS sign from Retail Row has also made its way back, and it can be found northeast of Risky Reels.
