Virtus Pro and Alliance secure spots in the Kuala Lumpur Major’s upper bracket

Virtus Pro Dominates Group D at Kuala Lumpur Major

In the final step before the main event at the Kuala Lumpur Major, Virtus Pro proved why they are an esports powerhouse. Despite facing tough competition from Alliance, Virtus Pro emerged victorious in Group D.

In the first game, Alliance couldn’t stop Virtus Pro’s firing squad. However, Alliance managed to bounce back in the second game, wiping out Virtus Pro in the final minutes of the contest. This gave Alliance the momentum going into the final game.

VP was able to slow down Alliance’s momentum and ultimately took over the game. With forty-one kills in forty minutes, VP secured their spot in the upper bracket, just one series away from advancing further.

Meanwhile, Forward Gaming easily handled paiN X in their series. Forward took a 1-0 lead and maintained their advantage throughout the second game, winning the series.

In the winners match, Forward initially took the lead against VP. However, VP countered strongly in the next round, even though they didn’t dominate teamfights. VP’s momentum continued into the final round, where they secured a reverse sweep and claimed the first spot in the upper bracket.

In the losers match, Alliance dominated after an impressive game one win by paiN X. Alliance evened the series in game two and delivered a devastating blow in game three, defeating paiN X in just 26 minutes.

The final group stage battle between Alliance and Forward was intense. Both teams had their moments of dominance, but Alliance ultimately emerged as the victors, securing the final spot in the upper bracket.

The next stage of the tournament will feature a best-of-three match between Team Secret and Vici Gaming in the upper bracket playoffs.
