Fortnite: Battle Royale Portals Mystery Unraveled with Real-Life Durrr Burger Sighting
A puzzling mystery surrounding the portals appearing throughout the map in Fortnite: Battle Royale has finally been solved. Over the past week, these portals have been popping up and causing havoc by consuming or destroying signs and buildings within the game. One such portal was found at the Durrr Burger restaurant in Greasy Grove. Thanks to photographer Sela Shiloni, we may now know what happened to the colossal slack-tongued sandwich.
A portal materialized near the massive Durrr Burger sign on July 4th and vanished on July 5th. Fortnite enthusiasts have been eager to uncover the whereabouts of this sign, and Shiloni may hold the key. While scouting locations for an upcoming photoshoot, Shiloni stumbled upon a real-life gigantic Durrr Burger nestled in the desert of Palmdale, California.
It is highly likely that this real-life Durrr Burger sighting is part of an expansive marketing campaign orchestrated by Epic Games, the creator of Fortnite. If the Durrr Burger has manifested in the physical world, does this mean that other signs will appear as well?
The welcome signs at Lonely Lodge and Motel, the colossal tomato from the Tomato Town restaurant, and the NOMS sign from Retail Row are other structures affected by the portals. If the Durrr Burger exists in California, there is a possibility that these other signs are scattered across different locations around the globe.
At this point, Epic Games has yet to confirm or comment on the real-life Durrr Burger sighting. It is plausible that an ambitious Fortnite fan has taken it upon themselves to create this spectacle. However, keep your eyes peeled for more Fortnite signs cropping up in various real-life venues.
Update July 7 2:45pm CT: Twitter user @A2K_Kilo has posted updated photos from the real-life Durrr Burger location. They also received a business card with a phone number from someone at the site.
