The First Major of the Dota Pro Circuit is Underway
The 2018-19 Dota Pro Circuit has kicked off with the start of the Group Stages. Today, Group A began their matches, showcasing some exciting gameplay and intense battles.
Team Secret Dominates J Storm in the Opening Match
The first match of Group A featured heavy favorites, Team Secret, facing off against J Storm. Secret came out strong, proving why they are considered one of the top teams in the tournament. They displayed excellent teamwork and overwhelming aggression, securing a quick victory in just 27 minutes.
Game two, however, saw J Storm putting up a fight and making Secret work for the series win. Despite their efforts, Secret managed to pull ahead and secure their place in the Winner’s Match of the main event.
Ninjas in Pyjamas Takes Down paiN Gaming
The second series of the day showcased Ninjas in Pyjamas against paiN Gaming. It was anticipated to be a close and competitive match, but NiP dominated from the start. Even though paiN fought back, they couldn’t prevent NiP from securing a clean victory in both games.
Team Secret Continues their Dominance against Ninjas in Pyjamas
In the Winner’s Match, NiP faced off against Team Secret for the top position in their group. However, Secret continued to display their dominance, defeating NiP in another 2-0 series. Despite a valiant effort from NiP in game one, Secret eventually overwhelmed them. In game two, Secret focused on tidying up their play and secured their spot in the Upper Bracket of the main event.
paiN Gaming and J Storm Battle for the Final Upper Bracket Spot
The Loser’s Match featured paiN Gaming and J Storm competing for the final Upper Bracket spot in their group. After a hard-fought series, paiN came out on top, securing their position in the Upper Bracket. J Storm, unfortunately, became the first team to enter the Lower Bracket.
Ninjas in Pyjamas Secures Second Seed in the Upper Bracket
The final match of Group A determined the seeding for the main event. NiP faced off against paiN Gaming once again, and it was NiP who emerged victorious. With a strong lead in both games, NiP secured the second seed in the Upper Bracket, while paiN Gaming joined J Storm in the Lower Bracket.
