TenZ and SonicFox to headline Ludwig’s World’s Greatest competition in search of esports’ greatest of all time (GOAT)

All-Time Greatest Esports Player to be Crowned in Upcoming Event

Tired of debating who the greatest esports player of all time is? Well, streamer Ludwig has taken matters into his own hands and is hosting a competition to settle the score.

Teaming up with YouTube Gaming, Ludwig announced the World’s Greatest event, scheduled to take place in early September. This event will bring together some of the best esports players from various games such as Minecraft, Fall Guys, XDefiant, and more. Sixteen players will compete, including the likes of VALORANT pro TenZ, Evo champion SonicFox, Overwatch League champion Super, and chess grandmaster Nemo.

All of these players share one thing in common: extensive competitive experience. TenZ has been an integral part of the VALORANT scene, contributing to Sentinels’ triumph in an international tournament. SonicFox is renowned for their skills across various fighting games such as Mortal Kombat, Skullgirls, Injustice, and Guilty Gear. You name a fighting game, and SonicFox excels at it. With Street Fighter 6 also being part of the competition, expect SonicFox to dominate.

Super played a key role in the San Francisco Shock’s back-to-back titles in the Overwatch League. After retiring from professional Overwatch, Super has delved into content creation and exploring different games. Lastly, Nemo, a chess grandmaster, brings her strategic prowess to the table. Achieving a major title in chess demands exceptional intelligence and dedication.

While most competitions of this nature feature prominent streamers, Ludwig’s focus is on esports experience. Ludwig, who became a co-owner of Moist Esports, began his content creation journey through competitive Super Smash Bros. Melee.
