Twitch’s streamer restrictions contrasted as Streamlabs offers expanded tools for audience expansion

Twitch Streamers Can Now Easily Edit their Content with Streamlabs Podcast Editor

Twitch has faced some challenges this summer with their new guidelines, but Streamlabs is stepping in to help creators by offering new tools. Streamlabs and Logitech have introduced the Podcast Editor, which makes editing content easier and more accessible for streamers. This tool allows streamers to generate auto-transcripts and resize videos for platforms like TikTok and Instagram, where discoverability is higher than on Twitch.

Podcast-Style Editing Made Easy

The Streamlabs editing suite, specifically designed for podcast-style content, offers features such as adding subtitles and real-time translations. Additionally, AI-assisted tools are available to help streamline editing by identifying areas with dead air or filler words like “um.”

Reaching a Wider Audience

With an impressive 464.7 million podcast listeners in 2023 (according to Demand Sage), and Twitch’s Just Chatting category accumulating 826 million hours watched in Q1 of 2023 (as reported by Stream Hatchet and Streamlabs), the Streamlabs Podcast Editor provides an opportunity for creators to tap into a diverse market of viewers.

YouTube stars Rhett and Link expressed their excitement for the new tool, stating, “We wish the Streamlabs Podcast Editor and Talk Studio tools existed when we were first starting out as creators. We could have saved a lot of time and tedious work.”

A Solution for Twitch’s Limitations

While Twitch still prohibits simulcasting on multiple platforms simultaneously, the Streamlabs Podcast Editor offers a solution to this limitation. By allowing creators to easily share their content across multiple platforms, the tool helps small streamers grow their audience, especially considering Twitch’s poor discoverability.

As QTCinderella mentioned, “If you’re not posting to other platforms, you’re shooting yourself in the foot.”

All Streamlabs users can edit up to an hour of content per month for free using the Podcast Editor. Subscribers of Streamlabs Ultra can edit up to 40 hours. Although unlimited editing access would be preferred, every little help counts.
