Coffeezilla accuses Logan Paul of playing the victim in his apologetic response to CryptoZoo scandal

The Drama Continues: Logan Paul’s Apology for CryptoZoo Scam Questioned

The controversy surrounding Logan Paul’s CryptoZoo project seemed to have come to an end after the influencer issued an apology on Twitter, expressing regret for the investors who were scammed and promising to assist in repaying them.

However, muckraking journalist Coffeezilla has raised doubts about the sincerity of Paul’s apology and motives, suggesting that it was more about saving face and avoiding legal action.

Questionable Behavior Uncovered and Apology Assessed

Coffeezilla initially brought attention to suspicious scam-like behavior in the CryptoZoo project and acknowledged that Paul’s statements had positive aspects. However, he refused to completely absolve Paul of responsibility.

Noting inconsistencies in Paul’s behavior, Coffeezilla highlighted that parts of the apology and new approach fell short of sincerity.

“I don’t believe Logan was addressing me or the CryptoZoo holders in his message,” Coffeezilla remarked.

One of the most significant statements in Paul’s apology was his commitment to contribute $1.3 million, later increased to $1.7 million, to reimburse NFT owners. However, Coffeezilla revealed that this amount is only a fraction of what investors had lost.

Limited Compensation for NFT Holders only

Coffeezilla reported that approximately $7.7 million was scammed from CryptoZoo investors by individuals connected to Paul, and the repayment only includes those holding NFT eggs or base animals. It excludes anyone holding the CryptoZoo currency.

“Although this gesture of opening his wallet is commendable, it needs to be put into perspective. The scam involved much more than $1.3 million, which means most victims won’t be fully compensated,” Coffeezilla stated.

Perception of Victimhood and Poor Financial Decisions

Despite Paul’s attempts at accountability, some of his posts in the CryptoZoo Discord server suggest that he may still be disconnected from the situation. Coffeezilla highlighted instances where Paul seemed to view himself as a victim, which contradicts his claim of taking responsibility.

In one post, Paul expressed his unwillingness to be the “scapegoat” for others’ financial mistakes, which did not sit well with Coffeezilla.

“This implies that he sees himself as the victim here. Logan had a simple task: apologize and recover as much money as possible for the victims. Yet, he can’t help but play the victim himself,” Coffeezilla remarked.
