Is TimTheTatman’s bold playoff prediction responsible for the Dallas Cowboys’ curse?

TimTheTatman’s Bold Prediction for the NFL Playoffs

TimTheTatman, the heavily-tattooed sports fanatic, is known for his inaccurate predictions of sporting events. Despite this, he made a bold prediction last year during the Super Bowl, choosing the eventual champion Los Angeles Rams. Tim even acknowledged his reputation for “cursing” teams on Twitter and shared his thoughts on the upcoming NFL season.

However, his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, didn’t appreciate his prediction that they would win the Super Bowl. The esports organization Complexity, affiliated with the Cowboys, reacted to Tim’s statement on Twitter.

Despite the backlash, Tim is sticking to his prediction as the Cowboys enter the NFL playoffs this weekend. He used some skewed logic, including a discussion of backup quarterbacks, to double down on his selection.

In addition, Tim pointed to a trend in the Cowboys’ win streaks and losses throughout the season. Based on this trend, he believes they are due for a four-game win streak that would lead them to the championship.

Tim even shared his final playoff bracket on Twitter, which includes the Cowboys defeating the Buffalo Bills in the Super Bowl after winning three straight road playoff games. However, the Cowboys’ record in road games this season wasn’t impressive, including two losses to teams that Tim predicted they would beat in the playoffs.

While Tim’s prediction isn’t impossible, it would certainly be a miraculous achievement. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, there are five teams in the playoffs with better betting odds than the Cowboys. Tim’s bracket includes the Cowboys upsetting two of those teams on their way to the Super Bowl and defeating another in the final game.
