Adin Ross reveals the concerning cause behind the cancellation of his interview with Kanye West

Kanye West’s Troublesome Interview Cancellation

Kanye West, now going by Ye, has had a tumultuous year. Once regarded as a musical genius, he has fallen in with fringe crowds, leading to a recent cancellation by popular streamer Adin Ross. The cancellation came after Kanye made hate speech comments about Black and Jewish communities, causing mainstream personalities to distance themselves from him.

Adin Ross Cancels the Interview

Initially, fans were excited about the interview between Adin Ross and Kanye West. However, Ross unexpectedly canceled the interview, stating that he couldn’t allow his platform to be used to spread hate. Ross elaborated on this in a recent podcast appearance on “Off the Record” with DJ Akademiks. In the podcast, Ross revealed that the cancellation was actually initiated by Kanye due to something he said.

The Phone Call and Misunderstanding

According to Ross, Kanye reached out to him and asked for his number to connect. After talking for 30 minutes, Ross invited Kanye onto his stream for an interview, confident that it would attract a large live viewership. Kanye agreed, and Ross made the announcement. However, after continued conversations, Ross said something that Kanye may have taken issue with, leading to the cancellation. Ross didn’t reveal exactly what he said but implied that it was related to Kanye spouting generalized statements about the Jewish community.

Standing Up for His Community

Ross, who is Jewish himself, was against Kanye making broad generalizations about his community. He expressed the importance of addressing individuals directly rather than making sweeping statements. In response, Kanye contacted Ross and made a confrontational comment, to which Ross replied that they were good. However, Ross ultimately decided not to platform Kanye due to his harmful generalizations and hate speech.

Despite initially making it seem like the cancellation was solely his decision, Ross showed support for his community by standing up against hate, even if it meant losing a significant guest spot.
