Twitch Streamer Survives Terrifying Near-Miss with Oncoming Truck
In recent years, Twitch has become home to a wide range of content, and now even truckers conducting their daily routines have found a place on the platform.
One such trucker is OTR_Penguin, a former roadside technician turned over the road semi-truck driver. While his streams typically feature mundane ride-alongs, a recent clip captured a moment that every driver dreads.
As Penguin was driving down a relatively narrow two-way backroad highway, an old red pickup truck on the opposing lane slowly drifted into his lane, crossing the double yellow line.
With no escape route, Penguin could only hope that the red truck would return to its own lane. Unfortunately, it veered just enough to side-swipe Penguin’s semi-truck.
The impact threw Penguin’s truck off balance, causing it to tilt over as it came to a halt after crashing into some small trees on the side of the road.
Although most of OTR_Penguin’s clips receive less than 100 views, this terrifying incident quickly went viral on social media, thanks to the Livestream Fails subreddit. Within a day, it garnered more than 90,000 views.
