‘Outrageous!’ xQc loses his cool over misuse of DMCA strikes resulting in streamer bans

Furious xQc Slams DMCA Complaint that Silenced Hasan

Twitch star Felix “xQc” Lengyel expressed his anger after learning about Hasan’s fourth ban on the platform. The ban came after a DMCA complaint from the CTO of Censored.TV, a right-wing subscription channel that Hasan criticized during his stream. xQc didn’t mince his words and vented his frustration in a fiery rant.

Censorship through DMCA Complaints Criticized

xQc, a popular French-Canadian streamer, strongly disapproved of using DMCA complaints to silence opposing opinions and views expressed in public dialogue. He referred to such individuals as “the worst.”

Disagreement Does Not Justify Silencing

In his passionate rant, xQc voiced his opinion on the matter, stating, “You’re doing an action that you deem as fine unless you don’t agree with them. If you don’t agree with their opinion and they do that, I don’t know. I don’t agree with that.”

Cowardly Use of DMCA Complaints

xQc continued his rant, emphasizing that using DMCA complaints to curve the law and stifle unfavorable responses or opinions during a public dialogue is incredibly cowardly. He denounced this behavior as “bottom of the barrel, weak ass energy.”

Supporting Hasan and Condemning DMCA Strikes

This is not the first time xQc has come to Hasan’s defense. However, in addition to supporting his friend, xQc expressed his desire for the issue of DMCA strikes to be resolved and stopped altogether.

Hasan’s ban was initially set to last two days, but it was overturned midway through. Hasan has returned to the platform and agreed with xQc’s viewpoint. As a political commentator who thrives on discussing matters rather than seeking silence, this alignment is not surprising.
