Asmongold Shares Strong Opinions on Game Loyalty
Popular Twitch streamer Asmongold recently returned to his main channel after a four-month break, and he wasted no time sharing his thoughts on those who feel the need to express their strong opinions.
Loyalty to gaming brands is a common theme in the MMO market, especially with games like “World of Warcraft” and “Final Fantasy.” Whenever a new game is released, it seems like everyone wants to voice their opinions on it.
While Asmongold is known for his criticism and praise, he expressed his frustration with the idea that people feel compelled to make a statement every time they like or dislike a game.
“I don’t want to be loyal to a publicly traded company,” Asmongold said during his stream. “If a game is good, I’ll play it. If it’s not, I won’t. I don’t need to announce it to the world. It’s just a game… it’s that simple.”
Too often, the internet and streaming platforms are filled with creators tearing apart new games. Asmon pointed out that when it comes to gaming, it shouldn’t be taken so seriously. Some people just need to relax and have fun.
“Why is everyone talking about WoW acting like they’re the pope?” Asmongold questioned. “You’re not writing a historic document. It’s not that complicated. If it’s enjoyable, play it. If it’s not, don’t. It’s that simple.”
