Two of the most well-known livestreamers, Ninja and DrDisrespect, joined forces on stream for the first time in a long while.
DrDisrespect Faces Suspension from Twitch
In June 2020, DrDisrespect received an indefinite suspension from Twitch, causing a ripple effect on the platform. Twitch’s terms of service also prevented DrDisrespect’s close friends and frequent collaborators from featuring him on their broadcasts.
Streaming Contracts Prevented Collaboration
Streamers like TimTheTatman, DrLupo, and CouRageJD could only play with DrDisrespect again after leaving Twitch and signing exclusive streaming contracts with YouTube. However, Ninja’s Twitch contract prohibited him from playing with Doc.
Ninja’s New Plan to Stream Across Platforms
Once Ninja’s contract with Twitch expired, he devised a new strategy to stream across multiple platforms. As long as he didn’t simultaneous stream on Twitch, he could once again team up with DrDisrespect without facing any bans.
Ninja, DrDisrespect, and TimTheTatman Reunite in Fortnite
On September 28, Ninja, DrDisrespect, and TimTheTatman finally reunited in a game of Fortnite. They expressed their excitement by screaming at the top of their lungs, showcasing how much they had missed gaming together in front of their audiences. Ninja even mimicked DrDisrespect’s iconic ‘yayaya’ catchphrase, and they jumped right into the action.
They quickly picked up where they left off and claimed a victory royale in their first game together. While the stream was relatively short, fans were thrilled to see these incredibly popular streamers interact once again.
