Could xQc lose his crown? Another Twitch streamer is vying for the title.

XQc Faces a New Challenger on Twitch: Kai Cenat

XQc has been dominating Twitch for the past two years, attracting record viewership and a massive subscriber count. However, a new competitor has entered the arena to challenge the Canadian creator – Kai Cenat.

According to Twitch Tracker, Kai Cenat currently has 69,028 subscribers on Twitch. In just two months, he has exploded in popularity and is closing in on xQc, who currently holds the top spot with an impressive 76,821 subscribers.

While xQc’s current subscriber count is lower than his previous figures, he still remains far from the all-time record. Last April, Ludwig achieved a remarkable 283,066 subscribers during his month-long subathon, surpassing Ninja’s previous record of 269,154 from April 2018.

Although Cenat’s subscriber count is impressive, his viewership is not yet on par with xQc’s. Cenat started streaming more consistently on Twitch in July and has garnered an average of 52,315 viewers since the beginning of August, according to Streams Charts.

From August 1 to September 11, Cenat streamed for a total of 326 hours and accumulated 17 million hours watched. However, these figures still fall short compared to xQc’s performance during the same period. xQc led Twitch with 22.46 million hours watched, averaging 59,573 viewers over 377 hours of airtime.

When comparing any streamer to xQc, volume and consistency are crucial. While some creators have briefly surpassed xQc’s numbers, he has remained a dominant force for the past few years. His ability to consistently attract high viewership can be credited to his extensive streaming schedule, which few others can replicate. To truly challenge xQc in the long run, Cenat will need to prove that he can sustain his current pace for months, or even years, to come.
