North American Dota 2 Team NP Secures Spot at DOTA Summit 7

In a closely contested best-of-five series, North American Dota 2 team, Team NP, emerged victorious over Digital Chaos in the qualifiers, securing their spot at the upcoming DOTA Summit 7.

Team NP’s New Roster Brings Success

This victory marks the first major achievement for Team NP’s revamped roster. Theeban “1437” Siva and Avery “SVG” Silverman were replaced by European veterans Adrian “FATA-” Trinks and Johan “pieliedie” Åstrom. Despite criticisms about the roster change, most fans believed that it would make the team stronger. And for this tournament, they were proven right.

A Strong Qualification Campaign

Team NP started their journey in the North American qualifiers with an impressive performance in the group stages, finishing in first place with a 4-1 record. They secured wins against compLexity Gaming and Midas Club Elite. However, in the first round of the playoffs, Digital Chaos handed them a quick 0-2 defeat, pushing them to the lower bracket.

A Redemption Story Leading to Victory

Facing elimination, Team NP fought hard against SG-esports and Thunderbirds, earning a rematch against Digital Chaos in the grand finals. These teams battled for almost four hours in an intense best-of-five series. In the end, Team NP emerged as the victors, thanks in part to an outstanding performance from their offlaner, Arif “MSS” Anwar.

Team NP will be joining Natus Vincere from Europe, Clutch Gamers from Southeast Asia, and CDEC Gaming from China, along with other invited teams at DOTA Summit 7, scheduled to take place at the Beyond The Summit house in Los Angeles from June 14 to 18.
