AhJit becomes Fnatic’s new carry, Meracle transitions to substitute

Fnatic Makes Roster Change for Dota 2 Team

Fnatic, the Southeast Asian esports organization, has decided to make a roster change for its Dota 2 team. After facing challenges in recent online qualifiers, Fnatic has chosen to add Lai “AhJit” Jay Son as its carry player, replacing Galvin “Meracle” Kang Jian Wen.

AhJit gained international recognition after his team, the Malaysian WarriorsGaming Unity, performed well at the Boston Major on December 10. Despite being considered one of the weakest teams at the tournament, they were able to defeat the formidable International 6 champions Wings Gaming in the group stage and eliminate compLexity Gaming from the playoffs.

However, Fnatic has been struggling in recent months. They have not qualified for the latest Valve Majors, as well as the upcoming Epicenter, Manila Masters, and MarsTV Dota 2 League events. Meracle, who is currently signed as a substitute for Fnatic, was also removed from his previous team Mineski.

As Fnatic prepares for the International 7 in August, the expectations for the team are increasing.
