Sodapoppin finds amusement as Asmon gets falsely banned in WoW due to suspicions of being carried

Asmongold’s Recent WoW Ban Becomes a Joke Among WoW Enthusiasts

Asmongold recently had his WoW ban overturned, but that hasn’t stopped fellow streamer Sodapoppin from poking fun at him.

While the exact details of ban waves in World of Warcraft are not publicly disclosed, Sodapoppin discussed what players have discovered about bans related to real money transactions (RMT) during his stream.

Typically, players involved in RMT fall into two categories: those paying for services and those providing services. The service providers usually “carry” those who pay for services.

According to Sodapoppin, ban waves occur approximately once a year and are carried out through an algorithm. The bans target PvP players, specifically those selling carries and those buying carries. Sellers receive a six-month ban, while buyers receive a one-month ban.

Sometimes, players may be unjustly banned if they have frequently played with others involved in RMT. However, in Asmongold’s case, the duration of his ban gave Sodapoppin a reason to make a humorous observation.

Sodapoppin finds it amusing that Asmongold was banned for only a month instead of six months, even though Asmongold did not pay for a carry or engage in any suspicious activities. The way the ban detection works is simply hilarious to Sodapoppin.

It is evident that Asmongold doesn’t need to pay for assistance in WoW. The game’s most famous content creator often requests items from his viewers for free, and he is skilled enough to obtain them without any issues.
