YouTuber DrDisrespect accuses YouTube of neglecting him entirely

DrDisrespect Criticizes YouTube Lack of Support Despite Channel’s Growth

Popular livestreamer DrDisrespect expressed his disappointment towards his platform yet again, as he admires the growth of his channel on YouTube despite allegedly receiving no support from the platform.

DrDisrespect made headlines in June 2020 when he was permanently banned from Twitch, and the reason behind his indefinite suspension remains unknown. Shortly after, he found a new home for livestreaming on YouTube, becoming one of the first major streamers to leave Twitch for another platform.

Since joining YouTube, DrDisrespect, the former streamer of the year, has continued to build his audience and become one of the platform’s most popular livestreaming creators. However, in a recent Tweet, he claimed that his success came without any support from YouTube.

In a tweet from his personal account, @GuyBeahm, DrDisrespect shared his thoughts on his alter ego’s time on YouTube. “It’s amazing to think the platform Doc streams on doesn’t support him one bit. No follow, zero communication, absolutely no love. The impact we’ve had on YouTube streaming growth is insane. We’ve been taken advantage of… Jesus YouTube, show some respect.”

This is not the first time DrDisrespect has openly criticized YouTube during his relatively short tenure on the platform. In May 2022, he notably unfollowed YouTube after stating that the platform does not support livestreamers at all.

Since DrDisrespect’s switch, many other streamers, including Ludwig, Valkyrae, Sykkuno, CourageJD, and TimTheTatman, have also signed exclusive deals with YouTube. Despite the significant growth in the platform’s roster of streamers, both creators and viewers have voiced their concerns about the website’s support structure for streamers.

Although satisfied with his success, DrDisrespect firmly believes that YouTube could do more to support its creators.
