Dr Disrespect Takes First Break Since Twitch Ban, but Two-Year Hiatus Remains Unseen

Dr Disrespect Takes Short Break from Streaming

Dr Disrespect, the popular streamer who moved to YouTube in 2020 after being banned from Twitch, has announced that he will be taking a short break from streaming between July 18 and 25.

This break is not the two-year hiatus that he has previously mentioned, during which he plans to work on his studio’s first game, Project Moon. However, it could be a step towards that longer break.

In a tweet, Dr Disrespect announced his break and shared a photoshopped image of himself sitting in a plane wearing his streaming outfit. He mentioned that he will be returning on July 25 and referred to the break as a “snoozefest.”

Over the past two years, Dr Disrespect has seen significant growth in his YouTube subscriber count, going from 91 million to 400 million. He described this milestone as “incredible.”

However, streaming constantly without much downtime can take a toll on even the biggest stars, leading to burnout. Other streamers, such as Asmongold, have also experienced this.

This is not the first time Dr Disrespect has taken a break from the Champions Club Arena, the virtual world where his character streams. He took a short break in July 2021 to go on vacation with his family. Some fans speculate that this could be the reason for his current break as well.

Dr Disrespect has also expressed frustration with the lack of new games to play, claiming that the same old routine is driving him insane. This could also be a contributing factor to his decision to take a break.

Regardless of the reason, this break is well-deserved after a long period of streaming. While fans will miss him, it could be the preparation needed for his potential two-year hiatus.

Fortunately, this absence is only temporary, and Dr Disrespect will be back on July 25.
