Myth switches to YouTube Gaming for streaming after a 7-year tenure on Twitch

Variety Star Myth Joins YouTube in Exclusive Deal

Veteran streamer Ali “Myth” Kabbani has followed the trend of popular streamers transitioning from Twitch to YouTube. In July, Myth joined YouTube after seven years on Twitch, joining other top names in the streaming scene like Valkyrae, Ludwig, TimTheTatman, and LilyPichu.

A Change for Success

Myth shared a video on Twitter where he explained the importance of being open to change in his life. He talked about taking risks to become a Twitch streamer and leaving behind the professional Fortnite grind. He emphasized that the decisions he has made have shaped his success, leading to his move to YouTube.

“All my life decisions have made me who I am, and this is my decision,” Myth said as he clicked the “Go Live” button on his computer screen.

A Homecoming for Myth

For Myth, the move to YouTube is a homecoming of sorts. Before his Twitch career began, he spent nearly three years uploading Call of Duty content on his ‘Myth_YT’ channel, which now has 4.6 million subscribers.

With his future secured on YouTube, Myth plans to branch out into more variety streaming. Although he will still focus on first-person shooters, he wants to bring his unique flair and personality to these games.

Expecting More Amazing Projects

Myth has set his sights on chasing more interesting projects for the rest of 2022 and beyond. He believes that the only thing holding him back is himself, and he is determined to make the most of his opportunities.

A Strong Twitch Following Left Behind

With his move to YouTube, Myth leaves behind 7.4 million followers on Twitch. He built a massive fan base over the last seven years, especially during the Fortnite phenomenon in 2018 and his pivot to other games like VALORANT in 2020.

Despite not pursuing a professional Fortnite career, Myth considers himself lucky that his fans stuck around and supported him.

After leaving TSM in December 2021, Myth is currently without an organization.
